Sexually transmitted infections, or STIs, may seem like a personal matter, but they can also have a serious impact on your social life. Imagine that a classmate has been diagnosed with an STI, and now the whole school knows. How do you think this would affect him/her socially?

Respuesta :

Ostracization of those with a known STI is well known in the public domain, even in adult non-school life. This can be even greater in the school setting, as there is a common general misunderstanding and stereotyping that occurs with those that have STI's. Student's will commonly bully or isolate the student, making the lives of the subject very hard. This can actually affect the students social life and well being from then and onward later in their adult life.
