Liquids occupy definite volume but have no definite shape. It takes the shape of the container. Therefore, volume of liquid is same when it poured from a small container into large container but it takes shape of large container.
Some properties of liquids are,
- Liquids have fixed volume but no fixed shape.
- Force of attraction between molecules of liquids are less than solids.
- Liquids are almost incompressible.
- Liquids flow from higher to lower level.
- Liquids have boiling points above room temperature. On heating liquid changes to gaseous state.
