I’m assuming you’re talking about the Bible.
So Elijah was an old prophet and he told Elisha (who was plowing) to follow him. Elisha followed Elijah for quite a while and then Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire. When he was going up Elijah’s cloak dropped. Elisha used took his cloak and became the new prophet.
So some similarities between the two men is that they were both prophets, they both of them lived in the same time period, and they did similar miracles to help people.
Some differences is that instead of being a desert wanderer like Elijah, Elisha had a house that he lived in. He moved around a lot, but he would always come back to his house.
Another difference is that Elisha was more intertwined with the people of his time. When Elijah is shown with the kings he is their enemy. Since people know Elisha better they respect him.
