In the body, lipids helps maintain cell membranes. Lipid is defined as a substance of biological origin which is soluble in nonpolar solvents. It is composed of a group of naturally occurring molecules. Which includes fats, waxes, sterols, fat-soluble vitamins (such as vitamins A, D, E, and K), monoglycerides, diglycerides, triglycerides, phospholipids, and others. Its main biological functions involves storing energy, signaling, and acting as structural components of cell membranes.
