If 3x+5y=13 and 6x+7y=20 what is the value of y/x?

3x + 5y = 13 ....multiply by -2
6x + 7y = 20
----------------
-6x - 10y = -26 (result of multiplying by -2)
6x + 7y = 20
---------------add
-3y = -6
y = -6/-3
y = 2

3x + 5y = 13
3x + 5(2) = 13
3x + 10 = 13
3x = 13 - 10
3x = 3
x = 3/3
x = 1

so if x = 1 and y = 2.....then y/x = 2/1 = 2 <==
