According to Madison, he justified the new central government that was stated in the Constitution by pointing out that the new central government had a check and balance of power. The new central government was a model for modern democracy which consisted of three separate government bodies that would check and balance each other so that none will abuse power. If all three powers of the government abuse the power, then the people themselves will have the right to overthrow the government through impeachment or revolt.
