It might be said that he felt responsibility because of the knowledge he had, that is why, he wrote Night. It seems that if he did not tell what he knew and kept silence, he would let the Nazis win another victory. he needed to voice what he had witnessed and experienced because it that way he might prevent some future immoral act.
