Loran-C was a hyperbolic radio navigation system which was used for long range navigation, a hyperbolic radio navigation system developed in the United States during World War II. It allowed a receiver to determine its position by listening to low frequency radio signals transmitted by fixed land-based radio beacons. It was invented in 1957 which can be considered as the era of world war 2
