Divide the 6/7  of a gallon by 4

(6/7) ÷ 4
flip and multiply
(6/7) × (1/4) = 6/28
simplify
6/28 = 3/14 gallon for each kid

3 3/7 gallons because if u multiply 4*6/7 u get 24/7 and if u divide 24 by 7 u get 3 with a remaider of 3 so the answer is 3 3/7
