Does the case of Mesosaurus support Wegener’s theory of continental drift? Explain why or why not?

Respuesta :

Yes it does. The theory states that the continents were one massive land piece that broke apart, creating the different continents. Fossils that are found on the continents and the plant life are very similar, which support this idea. One of these types of fossils is that of the mesosaurus, and it was stated that if the continents were in the areas that they are no, there would be no way for the species to swim across the Atlantic as it was mainly a coastal species.
