Karen had to check in at the front desk in the emergency room to fill out her insurance information and her history. After she finished filling out the paper work Karen had to wait in the waiting room. Once she was called on she was taken to an emergency room to have a check up from a nurse. Since she was in serious condition she had to stay overnight for observation. Karen saw a radiologist in order to have x-rays done. Karen was seen by a nutrition specialist or dietician to help her pick appropriate meals for her stay. A certified nursing assistant and nurse came in to make sure Karen was hooked up to her fluids and to administer medication to help her feel better. Karen also saw a doctor before her release to go over test results.
