Further Explanations:

Cosimo de' Medici also known as Elder and “Father Of Fatherland” was an Italian bank officer and a politician born on 27th September 1389. He was the first one from the family of Medici to rule Florence during the era of the Italian Renaissance. In spite of its influence, his authority was not absolute and his own legislative council resisted his proposals. He was always seen as an autocrat by his council member. His power prevailed from his riches that he earned from being a banker and was also a great patron of art and architecture.

Cosmio's established his power from his wealth, which he used to influence votes of the municipal councils and officeholders. His authority was like a danger to anti-Medici party governed by leaders like Reinaldo Degi Albizzi. He was even poisoned in  Palazzo Vecchio for his failure in the conquest of the Republic of Lucca.
