The most rapid population growth rate in history resulted from the Industrial Revolution.
The Industrial Revolution was the period of change to new manufacturing processes that occurred during the late 1700s and early 1800s. This period greatly affected economic, social, and cultural conditions of the world and it is considered to cause the most rapid population growth rate in history. At the beginning of the industrial revolution, the world’s human population increased by about 57 percent to 700 million. From the dawn of the Industrial Revolution to today which is about 250 years ago, the world human population was estimated to have increased by six billion people due to the change.
