He was a proclaimed Tsarand by the time he turned seventeen, He established stardom of Russia with Moscow as a predominant state. The reign of Tsar Ivan was characterized by the transformation of Russia from the Medieval state to an Empire. Though it cost his people and long term economy, He conquered Khanates of Kazan and Sibirand that led Russia to become a multi-continental state which spanned over 4050000 square kilometers of the area. He was the one who triggered the Livonian war which resulted in the loss of Livonia and Ingria. He was an able diplomat and also was the founder of Russia’s first publishing house. He was very popular among Russian commoners but the people of Novgorod never supported him because of the massacre of Novgorod. The main and important characteristics that went best for Russia during his rule were Russia made a lot of territorial expansion, there was also Tsarist Autocracy and Persecution of Boyars.
