The attachment style that Clarence displays is - d. anxious/resistant. Clarence seems very insecure and concerned about being accepted. He finds that every one around him and any new encounter is doomed to failure because it does not meet he's expectations. He has created an illusion in he's own mind of how that interplay with others should be for it to be meaningful not realising it is within him that matters.
