What are two reasons why black schools during Reconstruction were NOT of the same quality as white schools?
Southern Democrats were hostile toward blacks.
There were not enough black schools in the South.
Black schools were not as well-funded as white ones.
They did not have any support from people in the North.
I think its A and C. Black schools were not well funded whatsoever because Reconstruction was so expensive. In addition, Southern democrats were hostile towards blacks. People in the North did support African Americans.
