Sikhs are not Hindus. Sikhism reject many hindus. Hinduses believes in hierarchy of deities with Brahma(creator).

Hinduism and Sikhism are religions that emerged in Indian Subcontinent. Sikhism was founded in the 15th century while Hinduism is a much older religion. The concept of Dharma, Mukti, Maya, and Samsara are common in both religions. The origin of Sikhism was influenced by the Bhakti movement. The sacred symbol of Sikhs is Ik Onkar which is similar to the sacred symbol OM of Hinduism. The major difference between the both is that Sikhism is monotheistic religion while Hinduism is a polytheistic religion, in Hinduism society is divided into four groups while such a division is absent in Sikhism.
