The central processing unit (CPU), also called a processor, is located inside the computer case on the motherboard. It is sometimes called the brain of the computer, and its job is to carry out commands.
The motherboard..! Heh.. kidding if I'm not mistaken it the part of a computer that contains the brain or the central processing unit is also known as Central Processing Unit but there has been times where it is also referred as CPU, processor, or even microprocessor.
