Mary came home from school and looked in the fridge for a snack. She loves celery, but it was all wilted. She places the celery into a tall glass filled with water and left it for a little while, Why did she do this?

the celery was wilted because it didn't have enough water so she put it in the water so that it wouldn't look wilted.
