But usually if it was a high concentration of sucrose , then the cells would have a higher water potential
If it was an animal cell and water potential of the cell is higher, then water will leave the cell ,down concentration gradient by osmosis and the cell shrinks and becomes crenated
If it was a plant cell , then the water will also leave the cell,protoplast starts detaching until it might detaches completely from cell wall as cellwall is rigid so womt shrink-this state is called plasmolysis
The cell will keep losing water until reaching equilibrium
