1. Genes are versions of alleles.
2. For each trait, an organism inherits two alleles.
3. The dominant allele determines the phenotype of an organism.
4. Allele pairs separate during the production of gametes so there is only one allele.
Hello there,
From what I have learnt
1) factors within the pea plants controlled their characteristics
2) each trait was inherited by means of a separate factor
3) a pair of factors controlled each trait
4) one factor , the dominant factor, may prevent the other factor, the recessive factor from having an effect

Hope this helps :))
