There are three most important requirements of Qualities that one needs to fulfil if He/She has to stand for the elections as the Presidential candidate of United States of America. That requirement is related to Age, Residency and Citizenship. The requirements for the candidature in regards to Vice President are also the same. In United States, the age required to become a Senator is minimum 30 years but if one has to run for the post of the President then that person’s age should be minimum of 35 years. The reason of setting age of 35 as minimum age required for the post of candidate was that constitutionals thought that 35 years of age is the right age of a fully developed person or public service. The second thing which is required to be the President of United States is that He/She should be residing in United States from past 14 years at least. The reason behind this requirement was stated that minimum 14 years are required by someone to know the cultures and understand of the country. The third and the most important requirement to become President of United States is that he should be ‘Natural Born Citizen’ of the country. The reason this was that if a person who is born in United States run for the presidency, then he will give his undivided loyalty to the country.
