According to Piaget theory of development a person can not essentially go through all phases of his theory of development but according to Erikson, a person can go through all stages of development up to his old age. Here they have differ aspects of Human development.
Piaget theory describes the four stages of child in which transition is from one state to another is linked by a sequence whereas Erikson's theory dealt with eight stages of development throughout the life of a person.
According to the Piaget stages are going through the sequence like, sensorimotor stage, concrete stage, period of preoperational and formal operation stage whereas according to Erikson, people goes through stages as, autonomy vs shame and doubt, trust vs. mistrust, initiative vs. guilt and so on.
