Photosynthesis makes the glucose that is used in cellular respiration to make ATP. The glucose is then turned back into carbon dioxide, which is used in photosynthesis.

Through photosynthesis, glucose is synthesized which is again converted into carbon dioxide, water, and ATP through the process of cellular respiration (energy source). Except for energy, all of the atoms are recycled.

Therefore, atoms such as carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen are recycled under two processes like photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
