All eight planets orbit in the same direction. Although not at the same speed they all orbit in the same direction. The terrestrial planets (Earth, Mars, Mercury and Venus) all orbit at a much faster rate because of their distance from the Sun. The Jovian planets or Gas giants (Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn, and Uranus) orbit the Sun much more slower because they're farther away from the Sun.
