Professor Kwang Jeon observed that some amoebas in his invaded amoeba colonies survived thanks to changes made by the invading bacterias. This comfirmed the endosymbiotic theory that organells are formerly invading free living prokaryotes forms that were integrated and swallowed by others to form a new living unit.
