Assuming Tony is trying to make servings of 3/10 of a whole bar, he can only do three servings because 3 x 3 is 9 and 9/10 is the most you can do. Four servings would give you 12/10 which is more than one bar.

For this case, the number of services is given by the following relationship:

[tex]n = \frac{Total Amount}{Partial Amount} [/tex]

Substituting values we have:

[tex]n = \frac{\frac{7}{8}}{\frac{3}{10}} [/tex]

From here, we rewrite the fraction.

We have then:

[tex]n= \frac{7*10}{8*3} [/tex]

Simplifying we have:

[tex]n= \frac{35}{12} [/tex]

Answer:

He can do 35/12 services
