Solution:
Consider the problem of addition of two or more than two decimal numbers which includes hundredths can be solved by regrouping Hundredths
For example
3.098 + 4.7896+ 5.004
It can be written as
Addition of number on unit place = 3+4+5=12
Addition of number on their tens place =[tex]\frac{0}{10}+\frac{7}{10}+\frac{0}{10}=\frac{7}{10}[/tex]=0.7
Addition of number on their Hundredths place=[tex]\frac{9}{100}+\frac{8}{100}+\frac{0}{100}=\frac{17}{100}[/tex]=0.17
Addition of number on their Thousandths place=[tex]\frac{8}{1000}+\frac{9}{1000}+\frac{4}{1000}=\frac{21}{1000}[/tex]=.021
Number on ten thousandths place can be written as=0.0006
So, Sum = 12 +0.7 +0.17+0.021+0.0006=12.8916
