In chemistry, a solution refers to an homogeneous mixture that is made up of two or more substances. A solution is made up of two parts, which are the solute and the solvent. The solute is the substance that is dissolved in the solvent, while the solvent is the liquid in which the solute is dissolved.
The parts of a solution ARE MIXED PHYSICALLY, because they can easily be separated into individual constituents. For instance, salt solution can easily be separated into salt and water using evaporation method.
