The slope is 5 the y intercept is 10 you will be adding 5 to 10 in the beginning then you will just add 5 to the last amount.

The equation representing the number of baskets of berries the workers picked over a period of time, in hours, is

→y = 5 x + 10, x = Time, y= Number of basket in berries after time x.

(a) The given equation of line is

y = 5 x + 10

Comparing with slope intercept form of line which is , y= m x + c

where, m = Slope of line, c= y- intercept

Gives , slope of line = 5

Y intercept = 10

(b) Rate of change = Slope of line , y= 5 x +10

i.e , y'= 5 (Differentiating both sides)

Initial Amount is given by , when x=0, then putting the value of y in equation y= 5 x +10,

 ,y =10 is initial number of basket of berries

Initial Amount = 10 Basket of berries
