True
When a plant produce sexually, the resulting offspring has one chromosome is inherited from mother and one from father. For example if a tall pea plant with rounded peas is crossed with short pea plant with wrinkled seeds, then following offspring’s will be produces as –
TTRR x SSWW
TTWW , SSRR , TTSS, RRWW
This is just an example to show that if parents have 4 genes the offspring’s will also have same number of genes in sexual mode of reproduction. While in asexual reproduction, the offspring may or may not have same number of genes.
