An anxiety disorder is a condition that affects ones daily activities due to an overwhelming feeling of worry or fear. A generalized anxiety disorder may cause a sense of despondency over matters such as money, a death of a family member, health, relationship difficulties and etcetera. Jason's situation can also be categorized as a Mood Disorder.
