The Arab invasion in Africa begin in 642 CE when Amr Ibn al-as who was the governor of Egypt invaded Cyrenaica and after successful invasion, he advanced as far as Tripoli by 645 CE. In 681 CE, Uqba was commander in chief of Arab forces and he advanced to Atlantic Ocean in the west and Draa river was penetrated by his army. All these events resulted in Spreading of Islam in North Africa during 700 AD.
