From a military perspective, the failed invasions of Kublai Khan were the first of only three instances when the samurai fought foreign troops rather than amongst themselves; the others being Japanese invasions of Korea (1592–98) and the Japanese invasion of Ryukyu (1609).
OK my friend so basically the two of the reasons were that a huge typhoon had swept away most of the invading fleets and also another reason was the Kamakura Shogunate
