Rudolph’s symptoms are most consistent with the dysthymic disorder. This mental illness occurs when an individual is likely to experience a double depression where in there is a switching that occurs such as having period of hypomania moods and dysthymic moods. This disorder is likely to be replaced with a disorder called the persistent depressive disorder.
