This finding supports the idea of "Kin selection".

Kin selection means the evolutionary strategy that supports the conceptive achievement of a living being's relatives, even at a cost to the life form's own particular survival and generation. In his famous book The Origin of Species Charles Darwin discussed this idea in 1859.
