Fresh cranberries have 99% of water. Partially dried cranberries have 98% of water. Jack picked 100 lbs of cranberries. How much will they weigh after drying?

Okay, all you need to do it turn the 1% markdown of water into a percentage and multiply it my 100 lbs. 

1% into a decimal is equal to 0.01 

100* 0.01= 1

100-1=99

The cranberries will weigh 99 pounds after drying.
