The prison and jail medical units are added to these practice areas, where the risks of violent incidents increase due to the conditions of isolation and behavior of the inmates, being bladed weapons highly used; as well as the drug and alcohol residential treatment facilities, where violent behaviors are experienced as a responds of the abstinence to consume narcotic chemicals or alcohol, and finally we have waiting rooms, where we see violent incidents because of the lack of immediate attention which makes possible patients violent with the medical and nursing staff.
The answer already given is an excellent answer and I would agree 100% with the suggestions made. The only other area of practice that I can think of that could be added to the list would be day/residential facilities/centers for certain types of behavioral disorders not linked to psychiatric disorders for example autism. One form of autism can lead to very violent outbursts and incidents of attacks on the support workers, other residents/visitors and themselves.
