What was so awesome about early societies having all that extra food? it allowed for people to migrate farther away it allowed them to form early militias and militaries to defend territory?
It was so great having all that extra food because people could stock up and for long periods of time to find more land and more places to setup and live. Also it would feed more family's and it also could be sold for money as well.
