The disorder that HM have is called anterograde
amnesia, which is an inability to form or recall new long-term memories. This type
of amnesia has a difficulty to learn new things but still have past memories
like recognizing old faces, speak languages, sing and even remember the
learnings from school before the surgery or accident.
