Some similarities:

  • Both were activists that fought for an important cause in their country.
  • Both were willing to put their life at risk for their cause.
  • Both believed in the power of rational thought and education.
  • Both inspired millions of people.
  • Both went against what was considered "legal" in their countries.

Some differences:

  • While King focused on the rights of African Americans, Malala focused on the rights of women.
  • Malala was much younger than King when she became well-known.
