- Both believed in the power of rational thought and education.
- Both inspired millions of people.
- Both went against what was considered "legal" in their countries.
Some differences:
- While King focused on the rights of African Americans, Malala focused on the rights of women.
- Malala was much younger than King when she became well-known.
