How could the author make his argument that ear buds actually damage listeners’ ears even more persuasive? A) by including the statistics on hearing loss in the United States B) by mentioning his own father’s struggle with hearing loss from old age C) by citing statistics of how live concerts often damage audience members’ hearing D) by quoting a doctor or audiologist who has done research on ear buds causing hearing loss

Respuesta :

The most compelling of these options is option D; that is because, unlike the other options, it specifically addresses hearing loss due to ear buds, plus it involves research done by a professional.

Hope this helps.

I believe it is D.

Hearing loss could be from a number of things, and is not only in the U.S. Mentioning his father's hearing loss may not be too persuasive because its not from headphones, and because its from old age. It also won't be persuasive because that is only one case of hearing loss. Concerts are irrelevant to the argument.

It is D because the author is quoting someone who had done research and had hard evidence.
