Superbugs, or antibiotic-resistant
bacteria, are especially nasty and requires, as you said, teamwork. These bacteria
became resistant to the very agents made to eradicate them. Treating such
infections require teamwork by the patient and the doctor. The patient should
not take antibiotics unnecessarily and should be monitored by the doctor during
treatment. The doctor(s), meanwhile, will consider using several antibiotics and
do the monitoring to know if the infection responds to treatment.
