the dark phase of photosynthesis occurs in the calvin cycle of photosynthesis. in the calvin cycle ATP and NADPH are used to produce energy molecules. to begin 3 CO2 and 3 RuBP are combined to create rubisco. from there we get (6) 3PGA. 6 ATP and 6 NADPH are added and leave the calvin cycle as ADP and NADP+. that energy is used to make (6) G3P. next 1 G3P leaves the cycle [ it will be used by the cell to make glucose]. so only (5) G3P remain. then another 3 ATP is added and leaved the cell as ADP and results once more in (3) RuBP to begin the cycle again.
