Respuesta :
During Mitosis and Meiosis, the both cells undergo a DNA replication process which ensures that the cells produced will have the same characteristics as the parent cell. The chromosomes then gather on the center then this is where the two cells divulge. Meiosis produces four haploids and Mitosis produces two daughter cells.
Replication and Metaphase are the two events that ensure the resulting daughter cells inherit the appropriate number of chromosomes.
Meiosis:
It is the division in a cell divided into 4 haploid daughter cells.
In mitosis, a cell divides into 2 diploid daughter cells.
Common events:
- Replication: In both DNA form a copy of itself so cells get an equal amount of DNA.
- Metaphase: In both types of division the chromosomes are aligned into a line and then equally divided into two cells.
Therefore, Replication and Metaphase are the two events that ensure the resulting daughter cells inherit the appropriate number of chromosomes.
