Material and non material culture have similarities and difference, but the bulk of the essay is on differences. Material Culture consist of everything that is part of our society. Non material culture are values, beliefs, behaviors, and social norms. 1. Dogs 2. Family. 3. Christianity 4.Cars 5. Television 6. Xbox 7. Work 8. School 9. sports. 10. Race.
Dogs are social animals that provide, protection, and company for owners. However, some cultures do not support owning dogs, instead dogs are killed and used as a source of food. Family consist of relatives of the same household.
Family is suppose to be there for one another during the ups and downs of life, and support ones dreams.
Christianity- Believes the bible is infallible and everything in it was inspired by God. God is the basis on how we live our life, and other who come in contact with us know that we do not live life the same way the world does. Cars are a method of transportation that gets us from point a to point b. However owning a car consist of changing the oil, tires, and brake fluid. Once owning the car we are expected to pay insurance and gas.
Television- A T.V. that consist of sound and moving objects. People watch T.V. for entertainment and relaxation. Although, watching T.V. can be negative, there are many positive things about T.V. For example, TV's allow us to know what is going on in the world around us by watching the news. However, the media will leave out parts of an issue to convince us to believe and think a certain way.

The objects and resources comprise the material culture while values and beliefs form part of the non-material culture of a society.
The objects that are part of regular cultural experience are:
- Technology is a part of material culture that shows the value society gives to its technology and resources. Thus, technology could be perceived as ideas that make the culture.
- Cities show how innovative and architectural beliefs a society follows based on its culture.
- Family shows the cultural moral values of people as some society gives more importance to family and some believe in individualism.
- Churches represent the religious and spiritual beliefs and values of society.
- Schools describe the norms and rules of the society regarding the education system for all.
- Hospitals show the humanity and mankind behavior of the culture.
- Industries represent organizational behavior and actions that society follows.
- Goods and products show the value and thought that a cultural group has towards their people.
- Animals and plants show how empathetic culture is for their wildlife and ecosystem.
- Business stores show the consumption and trade pattern that culture through certain symbolic values.
The exercise has revealed that both material and non-material cultures are interlinked in society. Thus, both should be complementary to societal values.
