Nicolaus Copernicus accused Ptolemy of logical inconsistency mainly because he views it as physically ludicrous, comparing it to an imaginary creature with body parts that are put together in an improper order. According to Copernicus, the Ptolemaic model may have a single error because everything that succeeded from their hypotheses should have been affirmed without any uncertainty; however, this is not the case. He sees it as very complicated which led Copernicus to accuse it as false.
