In Act 1 Scene 5, Lady Macbeth unconsciously echos the words of the third witch. It needs to be remembered that Lady Macbeth did not visit the witches with her husband so she does not know exactly what they said. It is interesting to note that she seems to be able to speak the thoughts of the witches, even though she was not present at the meeting between her husband and the witches
