Nola was selling tickets at a high school dance. She found a dollar on the floor and wondered if it belonged in the box. 1 ticket (for individuals) was $5 or 2 tickets for 8$. Did the dollar belong in the box.

Yes, because the dollar could’ve been used for someone who bought 2 tickets. A 5 dollar bill + 3 1 dollar bills = $8
