Cellular respiration requires fuel (glucose) and oxygen gas. The main process that produces these inputs is the Photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants make their own food by use of sunlight to produce simple sugars and oxygen gas. Respiration is the process that uses energy to produce energy to the cell.
